Northwestern New Mexico

Northwestern New Mexico is a land of mountains, forests, and brilliantly colored rock formations. It was the home of the Anasazi, and now the tribes of the Navajo, Zuni, Acoma, and Apache call this land their own.
Two sites worth visiting in this part of New Mexico would be the famous Chaco Canyon and the Acoma Pueblo.
If you plan on visiting Chaco Canyon, the place to stay would be Gallo Campground, just outside of Chaco Canyon.
When visiting the Acoma Pueblo, one can lodge there at the Sky City Casino Hotel
